Laws of Attraction: Personal Development

from: Jan L Ashby

In understanding yourself, you should take into consideration your behavior and who you repel and just who you attract. Laws of attraction can be very crucial when you are making an attempt to understand your personality and its development. Failures and successes are a part of life and should be taken in the same spirit.

The best thing would be to take all your failures as your life lessons . Consider, if you will, that these things happen for a reason - a purpose. What you want to take away with you is the fact that these incidents have occurred so that you may know your limitations (a.k.a. weaknesses), and make adjustments so that you will not repeat them in the future.  By taking this approach, you can secure your future path to success.  Don't believe me?  Read "Finding Your Own North Star" by Martha Beck.

Yes, it is best to deal with your failures when they occur.  For if you keep them locked up inside you, they will fester and drag you down, only serving to  complicate your present and your future, as well.   What you think is what you are, is one of the most important laws of attraction. You need to comprehend that if you are often thinking negatively, this impacts you.  You tend to attract negative, even destructive persons to you - and this certainly can complicate your life - K.I.S.S.!

Or if you are a loner, rarely exposed to cheerful, happy people, your negative impulses may take over and affect you in less than positive ways.  So why not do some work on yourself and develop your personality?  Find a good course to take.  There are many helpful books and online courses.  I mentioned a good book already (Finding Your Own True North), and there are some good audio courses at:  Learn Out Loud

Given below are some things you need to consider and sort out if you are working towards a positive personality:

Learn that you should accept yourself as you are. You might have shortcomings and limitations but so does everybody else. If you cant truly love yourself, how will you love and accept others?  The world will continue to turn; despite how things are going wrong around you, learn to be under control. The moment you start pitying yourself, you begin to lose the battle.

Even if you are surrounded by people who are negative, dont let it daunt you. You can be a shining beacon, a good example.  Try and make them see the brighter side of life, if at all possible. Give it your best shot, yet learn to step away as soon as they begin to drag you down.

No matter how messed up things are, tomorrow is a brand new day and a new beginning.  Don't focus on your failures; make an earnest attempt to fix things the best that you can.  Take a deep breath; think about making a detailed plan on how you can improve yourself, so that you have the foundation to do better in the future. It can be a worthwhile endeavor to set goals for yourself.  However, make sure that the goals are attainable - that they are in fact realistic.  Also, you ought to put the goal down in writing (break it down into subsets of things you need to do, to accomplish the goal); set a date for completion and hold yourself to it.  Check off each section (as "completed") as you perform it.

Learn to be confident in yourself. If you are certain about who you are and what you want, go after it!  Dont let anything deter or distract you.  Focus is so important.  If you struggle in this area, it definitely is worthwhile to invest in a book or a course on the subject.  One good one is:  Finding Your Own North Star: Claiming the Life You Were Meant to Live, by Martha Beck.  (More on this topic at ---> Self Improvement Info Just For U

Developing your personality means uncovering your weaknesses and working on them. Learning from your failures and making sure that you dont commit the same errors again and again is critical.

Learn to be good to yourself and do things that make you happy. If you are good to people, then you will attract to you the same kind of behavior.  Just learn to be positive and happy, and everything will start to look up.
