Leaderships Skills: By Example

Spread the love

Here are some tips, to encourage others:             leadership-style

  • Think of someone you’d like to mentor and encourage.   Discover a personal strength in them, and provide examples on how the person can utilize their talent.
  • Build on past successes. If you have to give someone a challenging assignment, take some time to recall his or her previous successes.  Use these.   Express confidence when you meet with the person to discuss things.  Review their past successes.
  • Help others overcome defeat.  If you have colleages, co-workers, or team members who have experienced a recent defeat, take some time to listen to them about it.  Listen to their entire story.  When they are finished, make it clear you value them and still believe in them!
  • Start off right.   The next time you recruit new persons for your organization, begin the relationships right.  Instead of waiting until your employee proves him or herself to praise them, make it a point to express your belief in them repeatedly (before they give you results).

If you’ll do the above, you’ll be pleased with the results and will be exhibiting excellent leadership skills.   For more John Maxwell articles, visit here or alternatively, here. Here are some tips, to encourage others:
